What we do together
A year ago Facebook rewrote its mission to help build community and bring the world closer together, but most people don’t think of Facebook as a place for community (yet). This June we wanted to help the world see Facebook as a place for building community. Our hope with the effort is to learn about what community means to people, and to help people learn about new ways to find, create and join communities they care about. Our challenge was to see if there is a way to use people’s personal content and frame it in an experience that helps them reflect on their Facebook connections as their community and to explore how we can help people see the potential for finding community on Facebook.
